Assessment
In order to reach a conclusion that a student is dyslexic, a number of tests are administered. These tests assess abilities such as non-verbal and verbal reasoning, phonological difficulties, reading and spelling and attainment against criteria such as National Curriuclum Levels. The results are assembled into a complete report on the student, which outlines the evidence for the conclusions reached.
Screening Tests These tests are not tests for dyslexia, but are designed to help researchers focus on students who appear to be having difficulties with their learning, and who might be dyslexic. |
